Explorer Program

Co-op offers a class specifically for Twos/Young Threes. Children who are two years old on August 1 of the current school year will be placed in this class. Children who are three on August 1 will join the Preschool class.  Classes are available Monday through Friday mornings from 8:30am to 11:30am at the school’s Rosemont Garden campus. Children may choose to attend one, two, or three mornings a week.

The Explorer program provides an excellent first school experience. Children will learn through creative, hands-on, interactive experiences. Teachers will emphasize gentle and consistent limits in a safe, loving and nurturing environment. An adult/child ratio of 1:3 will be maintained.

Financial aid is not available for the Explorer program. Click here for registration and tuition information ›

Preschool Program (ages 3-5)

Morning or Afternoon Classes Available

Our Preschool classes are multi-age, with children who are age 3 or age 4 on August 1 of the current school year. (Children who are age 5 on August 1 may also be accepted, with teacher recommendation.) Children attend class three hours per day, two to five days a week. Morning class hours are 8:30am to 11:30am at both our Rosemont Garden and Clays Mill campuses. We also offer an afternoon Preschool class from 12:15-3:15 pm at our Clays Mill campus. Students attend either two or three afternoons a week.  Parents participate in the child’s classroom from one time a month to one time a week, according to the number of days their child attends and the number of children they have enrolled in the school. Parents also help provide snacks for the children on a rotating basis and help to clean and maintain the school.

Parents working together with experienced staff provide an adult/child ratio of 1:4 in the Preschool classes. This allows for careful supervision and support for each child’s needs. Parents often arrange to trade child care for siblings during their work days at school. Click here for registration and tuition information ›

Lunch Bunch–Extended Days for Preschool Students

Our Lunch Bunch (extended day) programs are offered from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm or 3:30 pm on specific days. Our Rosemont Garden campus offers five extended days each week: Mondays-Fridays. Our Clays Mill campus offers the extended day option only on Thursdays and Fridays. Each child may bring a lunch and stay to enjoy additional enrichment activities and outdoor play. No parent volunteer time is required for extended days! A child who is not enrolled in the mornings may also have the option to enroll.

LEAP Program (ages 5-7/Grades K-2)

Learning Enrichment through Active Play (LEAP) is an enrichment program for homeschooled students in grades K-2, ages 5-7 on August 1. This enrichment program will provide a place for students to engage in hands on, multi-sensory, play-based learning projects; participate in field trips; explore the outdoors in most all types of weather; and connect with other homeschooling families. Primary education will be completed at home with the family’s desired curriculum.

All LEAP students attend class on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 12- 3 pm at Fayette Cooperating Preschool’s Rosemont Garden campus. Students may choose to add Outdoor Adventure day on Wednesday afternoon from 12-3 pm. The LEAP class offers extended days for families who prefer a longer day. Students may register to attend LEAP from 8:30 am-3 pm or 9:30 am-3 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The LEAP class and its extended enrichment opportunities will be led by an experienced teacher. Families will volunteer in the classroom on a rotating basis by assisting the teacher, providing healthy snacks, and helping with the upkeep of the facility. This class will be a drop-off program, but parents may choose to stay, if desired.

In order to enroll, parents must pay a non-refundable registration fee upon acceptance to the class and then pay a deposit equal to 10% of the annual tuition by May 1 (or upon registration if after May 1.)  This deposit will be applied to the last month’s tuition. Tuition may be paid annually, semi-annually or monthly.  Families who pay monthly will make 10 payments, and these families must participate in an automated tuition payment plan.

Camp Co-op & LEAP CAMP

Camp Co-Op and LEAP (Learning Enrichment through Active Play) Camp will offer lots of fun this summer. Children must be 3+ years old on June 1 and potty-trained to attend Camp Co-op and 5+ years old on June 1 to attend LEAP Camp. Each one week camp will meet Monday through Thursday mornings from 9 am to 12 pm or afternoons from 1-4 pm.  The cost of camp will be $120 (for 4 days total). Full day camp will not be an option.

The teachers plan many hands-on activities in art, nature, cooking, music, drama, and literature which can be explored at varying levels by children at different stages of development. Each session has a theme, but there is always time for lots of free play, for reading a book in the shade, or for examining an interesting plant on our wonderful playground.

Camp Co-Op provides an exceptional experience for young children and offers a unique program. Camp Co-Op and LEAP Camp teachers are experienced at the Fayette Cooperating Preschool. They are sensitive to the needs of young children and are experienced in working with multi-age groups. Camp staff, with adult volunteers, provide an adult/child ratio of 1:4.

Camp Co-op registration opens to the public on March 6 at 7 am on this website.
